Oscar’s Place rescues donkeys from auctions and takes in donkeys whose owners can no longer care for them.
At their ranch in Hopland, California, every donkey receives the food, shelter, medicine, and care they need to heal and thrive.
After making a complete emotional and physical rehabilitation, many donkeys find their loving forever home. Others find lifelong care at our sanctuary.
Oscar's Place Wine Shop
Oscar’s Place Adoption Center & Sanctuary has released its first estate wine, the 2025 Oscar’s Place Organic Sauvignon Blanc, a 650-case, small-batch premiere harvest grown on the nonprofit’s Potter Valley property.
The organically farmed vineyard spans 16 acres and is part of Oscar’s Place’s second sanctuary location. The wine is estate-grown and produced in limited quantity, with proceeds beyond production costs going directly to the lifelong care of rescued donkeys.
